This year’s Remembrance Parade will take place on Sunday 12 November 2023 through Melton Mowbray’s town centre with the annual service being held at St Mary’s Church.

Businesses across the borough are encouraged to access a new programme of business support, the Leicestershire Business Advice Service (LBAS), funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The free-to-access support will include start-up workshops, accelerator programmes, local one-to-one advice clinics, and more, all to help businesses at every stage of their development and growth journey.

Visitors invited to send their Letters to Heaven in special memorial post box

A new memorial post box has been installed at Thorpe Road Cemetery to allow families to send ‘Letters to Heaven’ to lost loved ones. The special, white-coloured post box, located near the car park, is available for all residents and visitors wishing to send messages to their loved ones who are no longer with us.

Funding secured to provide additional homes in the borough

Melton Borough Council has secured £360,000 of funding from the Government’s Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF) which will be used to provide an additional three homes in the borough. The homes will become part of the council’s housing stock.
