Crowds flock to open day at revamped Melton leisure centres

Olympic bronze medallist Richard Kilty attended the official reopening of Waterfield Leisure Centre and Melton Sports Village on Saturday, August 17, following the £1.7million refurbishment of both centres. The sites, run by leading operator Everyone Active in partnership with Melton Borough Council, hosted an open day to showcase a huge variety of new and upgraded facilities to the local community.

Housing regulator recognises strong performance, good progress and plans for further improvement through proactive inspection regime

The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) sets the standards which social landlords, including local authorities, must deliver to ensure tenants experience high quality homes and services. The RSH has issued a Regulatory Judgement for Melton Borough Council, following one of the first planned inspections in the country against the new Consumer Standards, which took effect on 1st April 2024.
