Next round of community grants available
Following the successful grants scheme in 2023 that saw over £145k awarded to local community organisations, Melton Borough Council is pleased to announce the launch of the next round of funding that will be available for applications from mid July 2024.
Grants of up to £20,000 are available to support eligible groups to deliver projects across the borough that will have positive community benefits.
The previous round of capital-only funding saw the council receive an overwhelming response from a wide variety of organisations. A total of 32 applications were submitted, collectively requesting a sum of £357,049. After rigorous evaluation and careful consideration, a total of £146,700 was awarded, across 15 eligible organisations who were able to demonstrate positive impact and value for money.
Up to £153,600 is available this year, with £94,720 Capital funding and £58,880 Revenue. The addition of revenue funding on this round will increase the scope of applications and will allow a larger variety of causes to apply.
The council plans to conduct a Q&A session on Wednesday 24th July 2024, which aims to provide organisations with an opportunity to find out more if they are contemplating submitting an application. The session will be held at their Parkside Council Offices between 3.30 and 4.30pm. To book a place on this session visit: www.melton.gov.uk/CommunityGrantsQandA.
