The Healthy & Active Communities Team at Melton Borough Council is committed to providing a high-quality service to our residents by delivering programmes that are aimed at improving their health and wellbeing.

We are looking to recruit an individual who will support community providers in the Melton Borough as well as deliver physical activity, health & wellbeing opportunities where there are gaps in provision. You will work in partnership with a variety of organisations ensuring that there is a diverse range of interventions and activities in place to support targeted and vulnerable people/groups and help break down the barriers to a more active lifestyle for the residents of the district.

The post requires an understanding of physical activity programme delivery and the different methods of engaging individuals to change their behaviours to become more active. Knowledge and experience of successfully co-ordinating and delivering upon multiple projects for physical activity is essential.

Applicants should be highly motivated with a focus on partnership working, project management, good IT skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work own their own initiative.
