What is Ask for Angela?

The Ask for Angela campaign aims to support people who may feel unsafe, intimidated or vulnerable on a night out.  

It has been rolled out in Melton by the BID and Purple Flag Partnership, to offer support for anyone on a night out, who might find themselves feeling uncomfortable, vulnerable or even threatened.

How does it work?

If you feel unsafe on a night out you can approach the staff and use the code words “Is Angela In?”; staff will discretely help and support you to be removed from the situation.

Who is involved?

Businesses involved should display a poster, sometimes located in the rest rooms.
