When your payments are due

Your yearly council tax is usually paid by you in ten instalments, normally on the first day of each month, from April to January which means you do not pay anything in February and March.

You have the option to pay over 12 monthly instalments if you would find it easier, this means that you would have something to pay in February and March. If you would like to do this, please contact us to let us know.

If you get paid in the middle of the month:

You will need to pay the month before, for example pay the April instalment from your March pay.

If you opt to pay by direct debit you can pay on the 1st, 8th, 15th or the 22nd of each month.
