UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF)
UK Government allocated funding to Local Authorities via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to support the Levelling Up agenda.
Melton’s investment plan for £1.19million to invest in our local communities and economy was validated following the assessment and the Secretary of State allocated funding for 2022/23 with indicative allocations for the further two financial years up until 31 March 2025.
Significant consultation and work was undertaken during the submission stage to ensure that the application was reflective of the borough needs and the support within the plan will is targeted towards those areas where it will have the most benefit.
The funding will have a huge positive impact on our local communities and economy and enable us to bring forward a range of measures to support our borough, including action to support residents with the cost of living crisis, boosting the prosperity of our town centre, and helping to attract new jobs and investment.
